63-year-old Illinois airline pilot was struck in the head while landing and developed vertigo and balance problems.

58-year-old working superintendent injured his low back installing a conveyor system. Prior to that injury, the employee had been treated for low back symptoms, a neck injury that required surgery, bilateral knee problems, and a seizure disorder.

47-year-old newspaper delivery driver suffered 3 separate injuries to his neck and low back in Missouri. After 7 spine surgeries, he was unable to return to work. 50-year-old welder suffered a low back strain in Missouri which aggravated a pre-existing low back condition. Additionally, the welder had suffered a serious injury to his right arm, left hand, right leg, and neck, all prior to the latest low back strain.

70-year-old hardware store worker fell from a loading dock and injured both shoulders. Prior to this injury, the worker suffered chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and heart symptoms from a by-pass. Keefe & Griffith, PC obtained over $39,000 from the employer for the work injury, plus more than $240.00 a week for life from the State of Missouri's Second Injury Fund.


A 48-year-old corrections officer in Missouri slipped on ice and injured his low back. Previously, this Employee had suffered serious injuries to his neck and low back. He was unable to return to work due to the combination of these accidents.
